LagFix

Sorry it took so long. New job has got me busy busy.

Works with WoT 7.5!!!

LagFix is a program that will allow you to disable some effects in World of Tanks, in order to gain a few FPS. Do this by simply checking the box next to the effect you want disabled. If WoT is installed in a different folder other than the default (C:\Games\World_of_Tanks\) you must tell LagFix this by selecting the folder you’ve installed WoT in, under the Settings menu in LagFix, by clicking ‘Game Path’. You can disable all effects by clicking ‘Select’ from the menu, then selecting ‘All’. Be sure to press ‘Save Changes’ when you’re done! You can now run WoT, and the effects you selected will be disabled. Be sure to delete any previous versions of LagFix before using the current version, to avoid any conflicts.

    • Shan, Have you extracted the files from the .zip file you downloaded? Also note that it will not work with the latest version of WoT. I will be updating soon though, so check back often! Thanks.

Thanks a bunch for this, my computer ain’t too old, but it ain’t a gaming computer, so playing WoT can be torturous with the horrible fps lol. So kudos to you, for taking the time to make such a beneficial tool for the rest of us to use, thanks a lot, you’ve made WoT playable again after the 7.1.1 update! lol 🙂

    Can you help?

    • I’ll need you to email me the LagFix.exe.log file so I have an idea what is going on. Also, what version of Windows are you using? Thanks.

      • Dave R says:

Win7. And that file isn’t even in the LagFix folder. I have all my Folder options set to show all files even the hidden ones.

  9. Dave R says:

Update. I tried a quick fix. Opened a blank notepad file and tried to save the empty file as “LagFix.exe.log” and was told I didn’t have permission to save. Seems my Admin rights aren’t so Administration at all..grrr

  12. Brian says:

Lagfix stopped working with patch 7.3 :S when are we getting an update?

  13. Mauricio says:

hello get an update tomorrow of world of tanks and i think could be stop working the lag fix, please add an update if you can too = D thanks!

  14. Malagent says:

Keep up the good work. Wargaming doesn’t seem too concerned with issues on less than perfect brand new hardware. But lag fix fixes most of the FPS drop issues and makes the game playable on decent to mediocre hardware. (like mine)

  15. David Carter says:

    Update for 7.5 incoming?

  16. Bryan says:

this boosted me up to almost 30fps from 14 😀 thanks, ill be waiting for the 7.5 update one

  17. Milosh says:

Will there be an update? I find your program to be much better than any other tweaks out there…

  18. David Carter says:

I don’t envy you the task, that’s for sure. I can’t even begin to imagine what all has changed with the implementation of physics and the new lighting.
